The very nature of our relationship with God is seen as “bearing fruit.” What does it look like to be a disciple learning from Him and working out or salvation in obedience and pursuing that “still small voice” that champions us to mature and “bear fruit” for His Kingdom.
Jesus said in the book of John “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abodes in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.” (15:4).
The photo below is an acrylic painting that was done by my eldest Grand-Daughter. She asked me to sketch her an apple so that she could paint it. I took a charcoal pencil and sketched the outline of the apple (seen under the dark black outline above). She then set off to paint her apple. When she returned, she handed me the creation you see.
She had outlined the apple with black, added the red and yellow inside and painted an entire apple tree within the apple itself. What a spectacular prophetic picture of God’s plans for us. Within in each of us is a Beautiful Fruit Bearing Tree that has “healing in its leaves,” (Revelation 22:2).
My hope for anyone who finds themselves visiting this particular avenue is that you find the courage to lean in, press through, and seek that voice of Holy Spirit so that He can take that Beautiful Fruit Bearing tree that is within you and bring it to bloom and blossom in your life, for His Kingdom that the Fathers plans and business for your life bring Him Glory.
Blessings,
Kammy
“By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.”
