Below is a poem written and published in “Musings From The Front Pew” that takes a look at the “game of politics” versus the need of Government. it was written in September of 2011, but I believe we are seeing it clearly in 2025!
Politics is publicity, presumption and pride.
Pretenders performing promoting their side,
Polluting opponents to alter the tide,
Paradox of puzzles to paralyze the mind.
Policed perception poisoning the bride.
Please give us government, not playgrounds and games.
But gallant a garrison not after fame.
Genuine gentlefolk, not all the same,
Grounded in grace who calls on His name,
Politics, oh Politics,
And your worldly stride,
Your goal is my soul.
